Why isn’t massage cream/oil used during a Sports Massage?

Sports Massage is a speciality service targeted towards muscle groups used during a specific sporting activity, This also includes people involved in a workout regime. This form of body work isn’t necessarily a form of relaxing massage, it is a form massage that utilizes stretching, passive and active movement, spot related massage work(which might include cream depending on treatment goals).
